2nd T20: Pakistan Set Mighty Target of 206-run For WI

Karachi (April 02, 2018): The thrilling and blistering batting by Babar Azam and newcomer Talat Hussain took the Pakistan to its highest total 205  runs in T20 and set a mountainous target of 206 runs for the relatively weak Caribbean batting side on Monday in second T20i at National Stadium Karachi. 

Babar Azam just missed his debut century and remains unbeaten at 97 envisaged with 13 fours and a huge maximum. Talat Hussain also showed his skills with bat and made 63 with eight fours and a six and took only 41 balls.

After early loss of inform batsman Fakhar Zaman newcomer Talat Hussain, who got man of the match in first match, continue played classic innings and made precious partnership with Babar Azam.Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chosen to bat first after winning the toss against guest West Indies in the second T20. In the first T20I yesterday, Pakistan thrashed the West Indies by 143 runs to record the second-largest margin win in the shortest format of the game.West Indies batting collapsed at 60 after a sure-footed 41 by debutant Hussain Talat and a late cameo by veteran Shoaib Malik powered Pakistan to a mammoth 203-5.

Following the loss, West Indies skipper Jason Mohammed emphasised on improving his side’s batting performance. Jason told the media that his team was a bit jet-lagged but that was not an excuse. “Obviously there was a bit of jet lag, but I think our performance just wasn’t good enough at the end of the day,” Mohammed said when asked if his side was fatigued after the long travel to Pakistan.
