Karachi: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) director Sardar Sarfaraz has predicted hot weather in the city today.

He said that the lowest temperature recorded 30 degrees centigrade in the metropolis while the temperature can rise up to 38 to 40 degrees centigrade in the afternoon.

The met office has informed that moderate monsoon spell is likely to penetrate in upper and central parts of the country from Friday (evening/night) and will strengthen on Saturday.

A westerly wave is also expected to enter the upper parts of the country on Saturday.
