RAWALPINDI: Chief of DG ISPR Maj General Baber Iftakhar has informed that Army Chief General Qamar Javeed Bajwa will donate one month his salary in the coronavirus relief fund.
Addressing a presser Director General Majaor Gneral Baber Iftakahr said that the nation need to be united for a protected Pakistan while the country is facing severe challenge of the coronavirus while Pakistan Army will do every effort and use every resource to tackle the challenge.
The DG ISPR informed that the government of Pakistan has called army for provide assistance to civil administration while the Army Chief ordered deployment of the troops besides large number of soldiers at the LOC and on western borders.
The DG said that all the shopping malls, restaurants, swimming polls, marriage halls, gatherings and unnecessary transportation will be banned while all the airports will remain close for international operations till April 4.
Major General Baber Iftakhar said that the borders have been closed under the protective measures but real border lies between human and coronavirus on which we have to control adding that it is time of tough decision.
He said that individual self discipline will help coping with the testing time while he informed that from Brigadiers to Lieutenant General Level officers will donate their three-day salary while upto colonel level officers will donate their two-day salary while soldiers and JCOs will give their one-day salary in the corona relief fund.
