RAWALPINDI: Pakistan army is busy and assisting the civilian governments in the protection of people of Pakistan in the wake of the coronavirus as the army and law enforcement agencies are monitoring the situation at the interior and the exterior pathways.
A press release issued by the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that the overseeing of the interior and the exterior pathways in 36 districts in Punjab and 29 districts of Sindh is being continued.
As many as 182 quarantine centers have been established in the country while the army has also been deployed Barnala, Kiel, Rawlakot, Bagh, Muzaffarabad, Mirpur,Bhumber and Kotli.
As per the ISPR quarantine centers at Taftan of capacity 600 people, at Chamman tent based having capacity 850, at Kali Faizo village of Chamman container based 300 people capacity and at Landi Kotal
capacity of 1500 were established.
The army is assisting the civilian administration in the quarantine centers established at Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad quarantine centers.
As many as 10 quarantine centers have been established in Gilgit Baltistan while transportation of five ventilators, masks,medical and testing kits imported from China from Khanjrab Bypass through the army helicopters is continued.
The ISPR added that army personnel are serving the masses in nine districts of Balochistan whcih included, Awaran, Chaghi, Lasbela, Qalat, Gawadar, Sibbi, Khuzdar, Naushki while the army soldiers are also serving the masses in 26 districts of KP.
