Army Teams Actively Taking Part in Rescue Work in Karachi


Karachi (August 31, 2017): Army teams are busy in rescue activities joining hand with civil administration in Karachi rain affected areas, ISPR said.

ISPR release said that 15 army teams were taking part in relief work jointly with civil administration.

“Team are envisaged with de-watering equipments that helped to drain water from main thoroughfares,” ISPR said in its release.

It also mentioned that the dewatering process on Aysha Manzil, Sohrab Goth, Liaquatabad  and Gharibabad Underpass being underway . The drainage work from Yousuf Goth Eidgah, Manghopir was also being continued.

The boats and diving teams of the Pakistan Navy are also busy in rescue activities in rain affected parts of Karachi, Naval spokesperson said in a statement.

“Naval boats and diving teams are providing full support to city government in rescue the stranded people. Navy also providing assistance o fished out water accumulated on main thoroughfares.
