ISLAMABAD: Veteran actress Atiqa Odho has also demanded Aisha Gulalai to present evidence regarding sexual harassment allegations against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
She said that the former PTI leader should have reported the matter back in 2013.
It should be noted that Atiqa Odho is married to PTI founding member Samar Ali Khan.
Ayesha Gulalai Wazir decided to part ways with PTI after leveling allegations of objectional text messages against its Chairman Imran Khan.
PTI has claimed that Gulalai is being used by its rival parties to target its party.
Her decision came on the day when National Assembly was electing a new prime minister.
Gulalai, who began her political career as a human rights activist from South Waziristan, was representing PTI on a reserved seat for women.
She has also remained associated with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as coordinator in FATA and All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq initiated the process for appointment of Special Committee to launch a parliamentary probe into Ayesha Gulalai’s allegations against Imran Khan.
Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Chief Whip, PML-N and Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, have been requested to nominate 13 and 7 members in proportion to strength of Parliamentary Parties belonging to the Treasury and the Opposition, respectively for this Special Committee on Ethics.
