Karachi (November 14, 2017): A bill seeking slapping ban on production and sales gutka, mainpuri, and other such extremely harmful munchies posing risks to public health has been tabled at Sindh Assembly here.
The Bill tabled by member of treasury Rubina Saadat Qaimkhani seeks completing banning preparation and sales of the harmful substances all across Sindh province.

Highlighting the aims and objectives of the Bill Qaimkhani said that a large number of children and grownups are becoming habitual to chew the harmful gutka, mava, and other such habit forming eatables. The number of people consuming these harmful products is on the rise which is not causing immense harm to their health but also endangers their lives because they causes cancer.
The Bill seeks seven-year sentence and a fine of up to Rs 100,000 for preparing and selling the stuff.
