Peshawar (November 07, 2017): The body of a Pakistani diplomatic staffer, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad on Monday, was handed over to Pakistani security personnel today.
The body was handed over to Pakistani security official at Torkham border.

It is to be mentioned here that unknown assailants shot Rana Nayyar outside his residence in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.
Rana Nayyar had been working as an assistant at the Pakistan Consulate in Jalalabad, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Foreign Office Spokesman said, condemning the “gruesome murder.”
Afghan charge d’affaires was also summoned by the foreign secretary to protest the gruesome murder of Pakistani diplomatic official in Jalalabad.
A foreign ministry statement added that Rana had finished “his three-year tenure in Jalalabad and was due to return to Headquarters”.
Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif also condemned the attack and asked the Afghan authorities to provide security to Pakistani diplomats in the country.
