ISLAMABAD: Burglars broke into the home of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s political secretary Awn Chaudry in the wee hours of Saturday and made off with valuables and cash.
Chaudry said the burglary at his home in Bani Gala took place at around 3am. He added that PTI leader Naeemul Haque, who was sleeping in the next room, woke up when he heard the commotion.
The burglars took off when they heard Haque calling out, he added.
However, the burglars managed to take away three cell phones and Chaudry’s wallet, which contained Rs60,000 and his credit cards.
Chaudry said the Bani Gala police station had registered a case.
