Islamabad (April 05, 2018): The chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) justice retired Javed Iqbal has taken the notice of alleged illegal appointment in Khyber Pukhtunkhawa (KP) accountability Bureau and ordered Director NAB KP to conduct probe and send report as soon as possible.
The decision made in a NAB executive board meeting held with the chair of chairman Justice retired Javed Iqbal and also reviewed development made in mega corruption cases along with the review of prosecution division performance.NAB said in its declaration that chairman NAB has taken the notice alleged appointment in the KP chapter of anti-graft watchdog and inquiry ordered.
Meeting told that 101 out of 179 mega corruption cases have been submitted in courts and cases are being under trial. It also said that inquiries being conducted in 19 cases while 23 are under investigative phase.Addressing to the meeting participants, chairman NAB said that corruption was the major issue of the country and NAB was trying to eliminate it. He vowed the cases will not remain in pending for years as now NAB believe in only work.
