KARACHI: Sindh government spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the change of Inspector General Sindh is being given political colour.
During a press conference in Karachi, the spokesperson said that the crime rate in the city increased while 10 to 11 citizens were killed in the hands of the police during a year.
He said that “When IG is questioned over the increase crimes he gives every thing is ok report” adding that no government officer can hold presser while the Sindh police is found of holding pressers.
He said that many IG’s of Punjab and KP have been changed but CMs of KP and Punjab are not questioned over it.
The spokesperson said that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had apprised Prime Minister Imran Khan about the reservations the provincial cabinet had against Inspector General Kaleem Imam for maintaining the position in CCI meeting.
