Peshawar (December 1, 2017): The federal government has announced compensation amount of Rs one million for each martyr and Rs half million for seriously injured while Rs two hundred thousand for injured of Peshawar attack in which nine people were killed.
This was announced by interior minister Ahsan Iqbal during a media talk after visiting Hayatabad Medical Complex for inquire after health of injured in Peshawar agriculture university.
“Government will pay one million rupees to each martyr, half million to seriously injured and two hundred rupees for slightly injured,” he announced.
Condemning the blast interior minister said that nation can only face the challenge of terrorism by making unity among their ranks.
“Whenever country faces internal chaos the external elements activated to weaken the country,” he said.
Chief Minister Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak held a police high level meeting to make police performance more effective.
On the occasion he hailed the police performance during terror attack on Peshawar Agriculture University and announced reward for them.
He also directed the police officials to make more effective security arrangements of educational institutions.
Later, PM Abbasi adviser Ameer Maqam and governor KP Zabar Iqbal Jhagra also visited the Hyatabad Medical Complex and Teaching hospital and inquire after the health of injured.
Earlier today. nine people were martyred and around 35 injured after terrorists attacked the student hostel inside the Directorate of Agriculture Extension on University Road, Peshawar.
The security forces later managed to kill all the terrorists after a gunfight which lasted over an hour.
SSP Operations Sajjad Khan told that five attackers wearing suicide jackets reached the compound in a rickshaw.
They were said to be wearing burqas in the rickshaw so as to avoid detection.
