Deadlock in MMA over KP Head Persists


Peshawar (April 04, 2018): The newly reinstated religious party alliance Mutahida Majalis-e-Amal (MMA) once again fell prey of rifts between two major parties of alliance- Jamaat-e-Islami and Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F)- over the slot of Khyber Pukhtunkhawa president, however Liaqat Baloch said provincial cabinet has been set up to resolve the issues.

According to details following the long MMA meeting at JUI secretariat the deadlock between JI and JUI-F yet not end over the slot of province president as both the party claims provincial head seat- JUI wanted to appoint Maulana Gul Naseeb while JI wanted to appoint senator Mushtaq Ahmed as provincial head of MMA.

Addressing joint press conference after the meeting, MMA General Secretary Liaqat Baloch said that a provincial cabinet has been formed to resolve all issues and hope issue of provincial head would be solve soon.

He mentioned that irresponsible conducts of the politicians and institutions was posing threats clash among the politics and state that was not good for the state.
