Discontinuity in Democracy Weakens Pakistan: Ahsan

Islamabad (February 19, 2018): The interior minister Ahsan Iqbal said in his address to National Assembly that Pakistan’s constitution clearly set the boundaries of constitutional institutions as they should maintain their restriction during their working.

“Making perplexed sentences, apparently pointing judges remarks during hearings, dragging the country towards destruction that requires to ponder it seriously,” he said in his debate in NA session.

Commenting over US decision to put Pakistan on terror watch list he said that the main objective of Paris-based Financial Action Task Force, an intergovernmental organization that combats money laundering and terrorist financing, meeting was to mount pressure on Pakistan as Pakistan was excluded from grey category in 2015.“We should have to reply Paris-bases group unanimously by approving motion from national assembly and clear them Pakistan will not accept any kind of pressure,” he said.

He told the NA that Pakistan had fought war against terrorism not for wooing others but only security of the country and wanted to make next generations future strong and prosperous.
