PESHAWAR: Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) on Saturday. No casualties were, however, reported.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the tremors having a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale originated from Parachinar, the capital of Kurrum Agency in Fata.
The epicenter of the earthquake lay 35km deep, said the disaster management authority.
The tremors were felt in Kurram Agency, Swat, Dir, Malakand, Peshawar and surrounding areas.
The PDMA said that no casualties had been reported so far.
