Islamabad (July 26, 2017): The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved projects worth over 134 billion rupees in different sectors.
The committee met in Islamabad on Wednesday, with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.
The meeting approved over sixty-one billion rupees for extension of Right Bank Outfall Drain from Sehwan to sea in districts Jamshoro and Thatta.
Approval was also given to CAREC Corridor Development Investment Program costing over twenty-one billion rupees.
The project aims at dualization and rehabilitation of 208 kilometers of three road sections on N-55 in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The committee approved over seven billion rupees for improvement of Sohawa-Chakwal Road project.
Over nine billion rupees were approved for construction of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto bridge over River Indus in Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur districts.
The committee approved over 17 billion rupees for Lower Indus Right Bank Irrigation and Drainage Project.
The meeting approved over 10 billion rupees for Balochistan Effluent Disposal into RBOD-III at Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Baluchistan and Jacobabad, Kambir, Shahdad Kot in Sindh.
Approval was also given to Punjab Tourism for Economic Growth project to be completed at a cost of over five billion rupees.
