Islamabad (June 29, 2018): The Election Commission has reminded all the political parties that today is the last date for candidates to submit party affiliation certificate to the commission.
The Commission has directed the political parties, which have not yet given authority to the party head or any other office bearer to issue party affiliation certificate, to email it the authority letter regarding power to issue party affiliation certificate to any party candidate today by 1800 hours.
The letter will be sent to the returning officers so that they do not face any problem to issue election symbols to the candidates

The Election Commission has also issued polling scheme for upcoming general elections.According to ECP, the scheme issued for the National Assembly and provincial assemblies’ has also been uploaded on the Commission’s website.
The scheme includes number of polling stations, polling booths, number of votes at every polling station.
Census code and details of the area are also part of the scheme.
On the other hand, the delegations of political and religious parties called on Sindh Election Commissioner Yousuf Khattak in Karachi today. During the meeting, delegations belonging to Pakistan Muslim League (N), Pakistan Peoples Party and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal expressed concern over security issues during the elections. They demanded security for political leaders and contestants.
The Sindh Election Commissioner informed the delegation that fool proof arrangements are being made for security during the elections.
