Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed hope that people of South Punjab will get relief after the establishment of a secretariat for them.
Additional Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, additional Inspector General Inam Ghani deputed to the South Punjab secretariat called on Chief Minister Punjab.
The CM Punjab said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has appointed officers for the establishment of the South Punjab secretariat on merit while he urged the officers to do each work on merit and avoid doing any wrong work on someone pressure.
Sardar Usman Buzdar directed the officers to serve the masses and fulfill their duties honestly and carry out all the government matters with hard work to meet the expectations of the people.
Ringfencing of 33 percent development budget of South Punjab has been conducted and Rs 1.5 billion allocated from which problem of the masses of the area will be resolved locally, he said.
