FAISALABAD: A student was critically injured on Tuesday when a bus ran over him at a stop.
According to details, the incident occurred when the student, 11th grader Moin, was waiting at a bus stop with his friend. The speeding bus ran over him, critically injuring the boy in the process.
“We asked him to stop but he didn’t and ran over Moin,” said his friend, who is an eyewitness to the incident.
Panicking after the accident occurred, the driver fled from the area, leaving behind the bus. Scores of angry students vented their anger on the bus, smashing the windows and damaging the vehicle. Some of the students also blocked the road in protest.
“The bus driver should be arrested and punished strictly,” said Moin’s uncle.
Moin was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
