KARACHI: MQM-Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar said on Tuesday that he would make important disclosures about some of the important decisions that he could not take in the past year, in his latest video message.
“To decide the future of our party, I request all Haqparast members of MQM Pakistan to attend an important general workers meeting today 4pm at KMC ground (PIB cricket stadium),” read the caption in Sattar’s latest tweet.
The MQM-Pakistan chief said that he would make some disclosures today during the meeting of the party that he had never made before.
“This is not about the upcoming senate elections or regarding any one individual, but something else is at work here which I shall reveal,” he said in the video message.
Dr Farooq Sattar had suspended all members of the Rabita Committee last night after they attended a meeting of MQM-P leaders at Bahadurabad without his assent.
“I don’t know this is trial or conspiracy against me, but the Rabita Committee members held a meeting without my permission and violated the party discipline”, Sattar had said.
Sattar said that he strengthened the party after 22nd August and now he wanted MQM to become a national party. He further said that he would not keep the members in the party who were involved in crimes and violent activities.
Sattar said: “The problem is that we do not accept the powerful head and if they want powerless leader then I will not accept that”.
