Fazal Withdraws FATA Referendum Demand


Peshawar (November 07, 2017): Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has withdrawn its demand about referendum on Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reforms after ‘grand jirga’ at its provincial secretariat on Monday.

According to the details, a grand jirga was held at JUI-F provincials secretariat. All tribal elders of FATA agencies were present in the ‘jirga.’ While talking to media, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said the grand jirga suggested FATA supreme council.

The JUI-F Chief rejected all the measures taken for FATA-KP merger and demanded to review the FATA issue.

While talking about restoration of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Fazlur Rahman said that they will take any decision on it after November 9 meeting . He said that JUI-F always give utmost preference to the view of FATA masses.
