First T20: Pakistan Beat Scotland By 48 Runs


Edinburgh (June 12, 2018): Pakistan has beaten host Scotland by 48 runs in first T20 in Edinburgh today. 

Scotland—who cruised to 53 runs in just five overs— succumbed in second half. Wickets in regular intervals restricted Scottish innings to 155 runs. Shadab Khan took two wickets in allotted four overs.

Earlier, the blistering partnership between captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik helped Pakistan to set 205 runs target for Scotland.

After opting to bat first the openers started the innings with boundaries, however, they could not maintain the pace. Pakistan lost first three wickets only at 87.On this stage, senior Shoaib Malik Joined captain Sarfraz Ahmed and accelerated the scoreboard.

Both hit all around the wicket and their 96-run partnership the platform for a big total. Shoaib Malik made blistering 57 on just 27 balls with the help of five might sixes.

After the departure of Shoib, Sarfraz Ahmed thrashed Scotland bowlers and put Pakistan in commanding position. He made undefeatable 89 on 49 balls with the help of three huge sixes and ten fours.

AC Evans took three for 23 and RD Berrington grabbed one wicket in the expense of 29 runs.
