Srinagar (June 22, 2018): Five kashmiris were martyred while dozens including a woman were injured by Indian forces in IoK, at Anantnag district on Friday.
The Indian troops opened fire on a house during a search operation which resulted in the killing of Muhammad Yousuf Rather, owner of the house while his wife Hafeeza Begum is critically injured.Indian troops also destroyed a house and killed four youth during the operation. The injured were shifted to sub-district hospital Bijbehara for treatment.
Protests erupted in the area against the cordon and search operation, causing subsequent killings in retaliation.Indian troops fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, leading to clashes between the demonstrators and the forces.As per the reports, many protesters sustained injuries during the clashes.
Earlier, three Kashmiri youths were martyred by the Indian forces.
