ISLAMABAD: Director-General of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Maj Gen Musarrat Nawaz Malik on Monday directed all ANF directorates to adopt special measures against the emerging threat of synthetic drugs.
All ANF Regional Directorates should vigorously expedite the ongoing countrywide drive against drugs, especially at educational institutions, and apprehend proclaimed offenders, the ANF DG said while addressing Force Commanders Conference at ANF Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
The conference was held to evaluate ANF’s performance. Maj Gen Malik chaired the conference.
It was attended by commanders of all ANF Regional Directorates and senior staff officers.
During the conference, the ANF DG appreciated the efforts made by ANF Regional Directorates in curbing the menace of drugs.
He also reviewed progress of counter-narcotic operations and stressed on proactive and innovative steps to curb drug trafficking.
Moreover, matters pertaining to enforcement, intelligence, assets investigation, prosecution, finance, administration and infrastructure development were deliberated upon during the conference. In addition, futuristic goals were also set forth, paying special attention to new initiatives and upgradation plans during the meeting.
