KARACHI: Former Sindh lawmaker Irum Azeem Farooque on Wednesday welcomed the likely merger of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
MQM-P head Dr Farooq Sattar and PSP leader Mustafa Kamal are likely to hold a joint press conference in Karachi later this evening.
According to sources, the two parties may enter into a grand alliance.
Speaking to SAMAA about the latest political developments, Ms Farooqui, who recently quit the MQM and joined PTI, said that any alliance between MQM-P and PSP would be good for the city.
“If I am invited, I will surely consider it,” she told SAMAA TV.
