The banks were advised to advertise the fund at their branches as well so the public could benefit from it. Any money coming to the account will be used to cover the cost incurred on dams’ construction. The account established for this purpose is different from the Federal Consolidated Fund as it is specified for dams only.

The account for the collection of these donations has been named as “Daimer-Basha and Mohmand Dam Fund 2018.”

The Account

As mentioned earlier, foreigners will also be able to make donations to the account. In this regard, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been directed to receive donations and forward them to SBP from the overseas nationals.

Authorized officials at SBP and other branches where the funds will be received will duly sign all the receipts of donations.

Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Will Be Built in 2019

SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC) will then receive the receipts of the payment from these banks.

The Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) has been tasked to handle the accounting of the receipts.

The government requested the public to donate as much as they can as well. According to the reports, the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar also donated Rs 1 million into the account.
