ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the government is working on restoration of construction industry to provide immediate relief to the labour class.
He was chairing a meeting to review the adverse impacts of coronavirus epidemic especially on construction industry in Islamabad today (Thursday).
The Prime Minister said the labour class of the country needs our attention due to the outbreak of Corona virus and the government is providing special relief to this segment.
He said the provision of facilities to construction sector will enhance job opportunities and strengthen the economy.
Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority briefed the prime minister that a comprehensive package had been devised in consultation with all provinces for restoration of construction industry.
The meeting also discussed tax issues to promote the sector.
Ministers Asad Umar, Hammad Azhar, Khusro Bakhtiar, Advisors Abdul Hafeez Shiekh, Abdul Razzaq Daud, Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Authority and others attended the meeting.
