KARACHI: In another goodwill gesture towards Pakistani cricketers, Indian captain Virat Kohli donated a signed bat of his to the Shahid Afridi Foundation on Tuesday.
The former Pakistani cricket captain acknowledged the support he had received from Kohli and thanked him in a tweet message.
“Thank you @imVkohli for your kind gesture in support of @SAFoundationN. Friends & supporters like you ensure #HopeNotOut for everyone,” he posted on Twitter.

Kohli also replied to Afridi and wished him good luck for all his future endeavours.
As per some reports, the bat will be used in a Shahid Afridi Foundation auction event to gather funds for a hospital in Tharparkar.

This is not the first time that Kohli and Afridi have exchanged something of worth. As a parting gift, Kohli and the Indian team gave Afridi a signed jersey of Virat.
When Mohammad Amir had returned to international cricket, Kohli had gifted him a bat and has frequently spoken in favour of the Pakistani pacer.
