ISLAMABAD: Foreign office spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal has been designated the country’s ambassador in Germany in a vital reshuffle on a large scale.
In a first wide scale reshuffle in the PTI government at Foreign Office (FO), Raheem Hayat Qureshi has been appointed ambassador in Iran while Shafqat Ali Khan will be the country’s ambassador in Russia.
As many as 21 senior officers have been appointed as ambassador and council general in the transfer and postings.
Pakistan’s ambassador to Germany at present Jauhar Saleem will be on same role in Italy in a new reshuffle.
Additional Secretary FO will be ambassador in Greece in a new role while Director General Europe at FO Malik Farooq now will be Pakistan ambassador in Poland.
Muhammad Tariq Wazeer has been designated council general in Manchester while Director General counter terrorism will be ambassador in Denmark.
Mumtaz Zehra Baloch will be new ambassador to South Korea while Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Khalid will present country as a ambassador in Romania and Argentina respectively while Major General (retd) Umar Farooq Barki and Vice-Admiral (retd) Athar Mukhtar have been designated ambassadors in Jordan and Maldives respectively.
Maryam Madeeha Aftab, Dr Ali Ahmed Arrayin, Sardar Azhar Tariq have been appointed ambassadors in Bulgharia, Senegal and Kryghistan respectively.
