Huge Terror Attempt Foiled in Quetta


Quetta (September 30, 2017): The Frontier Corps (FC) has apprehended an explosive laden vehicle on Saturday and foiled huge sectarian terror attempt in Quetta, ISPR said in his release.

According to ISPR,  on intelligence tip off security forces started search operation in Quetta, Tore Shah, and apprehended vehicle carrying explosive material for terror attack during Ashura aimed to create unrest and sectarian clashes in the province.

“Terrorists had plan to target Muharram procession and killing score of people,” ISPR said.

ISPR said that the master mind of the terror plan and his two accomplices were also arrested and investigation being conducted.

Earlier today, Levies force carried out a targeted operation in Kohlu and recovered huge cache of arms.

As per details, Levies force carried out an action in Kohlu on intelligence agency’s tip-off.

Deputy Commissioner Kohlu said that the operation was carried out in Makhi Nula area in Kahan.

He added that during the action hue cache of rams and explosive materials were recovered.

He said that the recovered arms include 150 fuses, three hand grenade, mortar guns, seven anti-tank mines, machine guns and hundreds rounds.
