Imran Claims Million Rupees Scam in Multan Metro Bus Project


Islamabad(August 30, 2017):  The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has claimed that a Chinese firm has revealed the corruption of millions of rupees in Multan Metro Bus Project.

“National Accountability Bureau should have to conduct inquiry in all Metro and Orange Line projects as these  projectes were initiated for not public interest but for getting massive kickbacks,” Imran alleged in his statement on social media website at Twitter.

He accused that like Panama case the Chinese firm has exposed misappropriation in Multan Bus project directly implicating Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif.

He claimed that all the development projects being initiated for making money as Panama case verdict has already been exposed the Sharif family.

However, Punjab chief minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif in his rebuttal in a press conference said on Wednesday that propaganda over Multan metro project is false and bogus allegations were leveled against the government.

He denied the allegations of pocketing Rs 3 billion bribe in Multan metro project. He further announced to serve legal notices to a private media outlet and senior member of Pakistan People’s Party, Aitzaz Ahsan.
