ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has vowed to support the protest plan of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) over Model Town incident, Samaa reported Thursday.
PAT Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has put his supporters on alert for a protest sit-in, demanding the arrest of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah in “light of the findings of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi Report.”
Today, PTI chief Imran Khan told reporters that he would support Qadri if the religious scholar went ahead with his plan to hold a protest sit-in against Punjab government.
The Najafi report revelations have exposed the lies of CM Shahbaz Sharif, he and Rana Sanaullah must resign for killing Pakistani citizens, Khan said.
Khan condemned US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
“Trump’s plan to shift US embassy to Jerusalem is contrary to all UN resolutions and is an attempt to deliberately add to the chaos in Middle East,” Khan said.
Khan was speaking to media persons after appearing in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) hearing in 2014 PTV attack case. The hearing was adjourned till Dec 11. – Samaa
