Internet outage disrupts flight schedule


ISLAMABAD: Many domestic and international flights were delayed or cancelled due to disruption in the internet services across Pakistan, Samaa reported.

According to flight inquiry of Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Dubai bound PI-210 has been cancelled.

Flights to Medina, Manchester and Karachi have also been cancelled.

PI-211, which was scheduled to reach Islamabad from Dubai, was cancelled as well.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, which was to reach Jeddah from Karachi were cancelled.

Flight No. NL-706, reaching Islamabad from Medina, has been cancelled.

Citizens continue to face problems as the internet services continue remain affected for the second day, Samaa reported.

The internet services got affected when outage was reported in international submarine cable systems providing internet bandwidth to Pakistan.

Another international cable system SEA-ME-WE 4 is already under repair by the international consortium.

Pakistan Telecommunications Limited (PTCL) stated the company has successfully arranged for additional bandwidth through our international cable systems & partners.

PTCL has undertaken measures to arrange additional/alternate bandwidth through other cable systems & international cable business partners.

International consortium is working to resolve international submarine outage issue. Inconvenience to customers is regretted.
