Islamabad (December 1, 2017): The funeral prayer of intelligence agency personnel Syed Saidain Zaidi, who was shot dead in firing on Imam Bargah in Islamabad sector I-8 has been offered on Friday.
The prominent personalities of twin cities- Islamabad and Rawalpindi- attended the funeral prayer, while the mourners have staged protest after the funeral prayer and demanded the arrest of killers.
The head of Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Raja Nasir Abbas talking on the occasion lashed out the government for failure in arresting of killer said that soaring terrorism wave in the country was concerning.
He said government has stopped the implementation on National Action Plan (NAP) that caused the new wave of terrorism in the country.
On November 29, an Intelligence Bureau personnel was shot dead and four others were injured in firing incident, targeting Imam Bargah in I-8 sector of Islamabad.
According to details, two unknown persons riding bike opened fire on a Imam Bargah located in I-8 sector of Islamabad, an IB personnel died on the spot, while four sustained multiple bullet injuries, who were immediately rushed to hospital.
According to police, the assailants were remained hidden near the prayer place and as the people came out from Bargah after prayer, they opened indiscriminate firing as one of them had 9MM and other had 12 bore pistol.
The IB official died on the spot, while four others suffered bullet wound and have been shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for emergency medical treatment. The deceased has been identified as Syed Hubdar Shah.
