KARACHI: K-electric spokesperson has informed that a fire incident at Jamshoro power plant has caused a shortage in supply of 200 megawatts to Karachi.

The spokesperson said that after disruption in supply in wake of the blaze at the Jamshoro power plant, K-electric has been provided 450 MW electricity out of 650 MW from the national grid.

He said that they are constantly in touch with grid officials while load management can be conducted due to the shortage.

The spokesperson said that the electricity situation will be improved as the supply of electricity improves.
