Karachi: A two-storey building in Lyari neighborhood of Karachi near Koyala Godam collapsed while two dead bodies and 10 inured have been evacuated from the debris of the building.
The rescue work at the building collapse site is continued while it is feard that scores of people still traped under the debris of the building.
The bodies and injured have been shifted to a near-by hospital while rangers personnel are also taking part in the rescue operation.
Governor Sindh taking notice of the building collapse incident has called report from the chief secretary Sindh while he also instruced commissioner Karachi to carry out rescue work at the site.
Talking to the commissioner Karachi he said that due to incompetency of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) lives of Karachiites are not safe.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) South talking about the building collapse said that as many as 10 times building was evacuated despite that the dilapdated building was given on rent.
He said that he is making strategy to take action against the building owner.
