ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said Youm-e-Ashur gives the message of standing by the oppressed and not refraining from any sacrifice for righteousness.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, she said: ”Karbala like situation is prevailing in occupied Kashmir today.“
The SAPM said it is the 39th day of curfew in the held valley which has been turned into a prison.
“The valley has been cut off from the rest of the world whilst the people are faced with shortages of food and medicines,” she added.
Voicing concerns over the oppression in occupied Kashmir, Firdous Ashiq Awan reaffirmed that “Pakistan will not abandon the oppressed Kashmiri people.”
She said Kashmiris are pursuing the path of the martyrs of Karbala and those testing their courage will face defeat.
