Islamabad (September 29, 2017): The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will table adjournment motion in National Assembly against Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif over his controversial statement regarding banned organization.
PTI MNA Murad Saeed will table the motion in NA session which was summoned on October 2 by the President Mamnoon Hussain.PTI motion pertained the demand to immediately summon Kh Asif in parliament for explanation of his biased statement regarding banned organizations.
The motion also said that Kh Asif has also made controversial statements over the Nawaz Sharif disqualification and asked him if he was well aware any conspiracy against Nawaz Sharif the why he had not informed parliament.“What was the objective in such kind of enemy-like statement in fanatic US soil and what was the logic behind to targeting he Pakistan’s state institutions in the country who always seem the Pakistani institutions with suspiciously,” it said.
Motion asked him to explain, in parliament, either his aim was to defame the national institutions or not.
Foreign Minister Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan should not be blamed for Haqqani Network, Hafiz Saeed and other militant outfits, in fact they were ‘blue eyed’ of the United States a few decade ago.Speaking at Asia Society seminar in New York, Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said these people had been invited in the ‘White House.’ He said “Don’t blame us for the Haqqanis and don’t blame us for the Hafiz Saeed. These were the people who were your darlings just 20 to 30 years back.”
Asif said, “It is very easy to say Pakistan is floating the Haqqanis and Hafiz Saeed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. They are liabilities. I accept that they are liabilities, but give us time to get rid of them because we don’t have the assets to match these liabilities and you are increasing them further.”
