Talking to journalists at Punjab House after returning from Murree in a informal discussion, the ousted prime minister said that he knew a lot about what was going on but he was silent for the time being.
He said that he did not draw salary from the company of his son so what was the logic to declare it. He added that had he been involved in corruption, taking kickback or looting government treasury then there had been logic behind his disqualification.
He added that he was disqualified for not declaring the salary which he never got. “ Nothing can be more ridiculous than this,” he remarked.
Earlier, the former Prime Minister accompanied by his family members reached Islamabadfrom his residence in Changla Gali in Mureee. Nawaz Sharif was accorded warm welcome when he entered the federal capital by PML-N workers and supporters in Bharakahu.
The former premier’s convoy was surrounded by PML-N supporters, prompting Sharif to get out of his car at one point and greet the crowd.
