The spokesperson for the provincial government Shaukat Yousafzai confirmed that the budget will be over Rs613 billion and that Rs123 billion have been allotted for the Annual Development Programme (ADP).

“In the budget, 70 per cent has been allocated for development schemes which are under way and 30 per cent has been put aside for new schemes,” Yousafzai added. “Projects, including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Swat Expressway, will be completed soon,” the KP government spokesperson vowed.

Yousafzai further promised that the budget will be “balanced and tax-free” and will “not exert pressure on the poor”.

Stating that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is in power in the centre and province, Yousafzai said, “We are hopeful we will get money from the centre.”
