Lahore (September 13, 2017): The Lahore High Court has directed the Election Commission of Pakistan, on the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), to provide National Database Regularity Authority (NADRA) attested voters lists of NA-120 to the candidates of the by poll.
LHC hearing the plea submitted by the PTI candidate form NA-120 Yasmeen Rashid ordered the ECP for the provision of NADRA attested lists to her.
Yasmeen Rashid told the court in her request that NADRA has not the proper record of 2900 voters of the constituency while the ECP has already been confirmed the unavailability of the record of said voters.
“According to election rules voter lists can be provided to candidate, however NADAR yet to provide attested voters lists,” she informed the court in her request.
On which LHC issued the notice to ECP and adjourned the hearing for September 15.
