New York: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that the media is a vital institution.
Talking to journalists in New York, the Minister said that the major think which happened in Pakistan after 2000 included the freedom of the media.
Fawad Chauhdry said that it is wrong impression that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government wanted to suppress the media’s freedom adding that if the PTI is in power that the media played a vital role in it.
He said that no case on Zardari and Nawaz Sharif is false and we wanted to retrieved looted wealth from the corrupt politicians adding that a procedure of plea bargain exists in the law and suggested Maryam Nawaz to do a plea bargain and leave the country today.
The Minister said that as he will reach the country he will quarantine himself adding that one of a lab at National Institute of Health is working on the coronavirus.
He said that a wide range of social effect will surface after the spread of the virus.
Talking about the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Fawad said that it is a commitment of Premier Imran Khan to save poor from the difficulties while the ahsas programme of worth Rs 192 billion is running and talks are on for a package for daily wages people.
