Karachi (August 12, 2017): A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) led by Farooq Sattar called on Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
The meeting took placer at Governor House Karachi.
The MQM leaders during the meeting demanded that their workers in custody be released and their sealed offices opened.
The prime minister thanked the MQM leaders for voting for him during the election. He assured the MQM leaders of his cooperation for resolving issues faced by MQM.
The MQM delegation was comprised Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Faisal Sabzwari and Amir Khan.
Later talking to media, Sattar said that they had discussed over political and administrative issues with the Prime Minister. He said that the federal government needed to pay attention on infrastructure development in major cities including Karachi.
He said that it was time for federal government to fulfill its promises. He hoped that the Prime Minister would announce Karachi and Hyderabad Package.
He added that Governor Sindh and Mayor Karachi were working on Karachi Package for the last many months.
