MQM, QWP Among 345 Parties Failed to Submit Assets Details


Islamabad (August 30, 2017): The deadline given by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to political parties for the submission of assets details has ended.  MQM-Pakistan and Qaumi Watan Party among the 345 political parties, who have failed to abide the deadline.

According to ECP sources, so far 21 political parties have submitted their financial details. Sources told that large number of parties could not come up to submit their asset details.

Sources further told that election symbols of those parties will be withheld after 15 September, which have failed to submit the details,

Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Muslim Legue (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema Islama (JUI-F) hav already submitted their assets details before the deadline of August 29.
