ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday approached the Supreme Court against the bail granted to Hamza Shahbaz in the Ramza Sugar Mills case.

The NAB in its argument declared the petition of Hamza Shahbaz in the Lahore High Court not maintainable and prayed the SC to annul the LHC verdict.

The anti-graft contended in the SC that Hamza Shahbaz has been arrested in charges of alleged corruption conducted in funds of Rs 360 million issued from the local government and the said am mount had to be used in sewerage system of nine km long west water project of the Ramzaz Sugar Mills and this project of the Ramazan Sugar mills presented as a public project and then Chief Minister Punjab exercising his powers illegally benefited the Ramzan Sugar Mills from national exchequer.
