It may be mentioned that on Friday July 28, 2017 the five-member bench of the Supreme Court had disqualified Nawaz Sharif and ordered NAB to file references against the above mentioned persons within six weeks and to complete the hearing within six months.
According to sources rge matters pertaining to the preparation of references will be handed over to NAB Rawalpindi.
Under the light of the verdict of the apex court investigations will also be conducted against president of state-run National Bank Pakistan Saeed Ahmad, Javed Kayani, Shaikh Saeed who is living in the U.S., Moosa Ghani, and Kashif Masood Qazi.
Today’s meeting will be attended by Prosecutor General NAB Gen Qadeer Dar, officers of the prosecution wing, DG Operations, D G Rawalpindi, and others.
Sources say that the written judgment of the panama case has been received by chairman NAB and proceedings under the light of the available proofs would be reviewed during NAB’s important meeting today.
A judge of the Supreme Court will monitor the trial of the cases.
