Islamabad (November 03, 2017): Former Prime Nawaz Sharif presided over a consultative meeting of his political and legal aides at Punjab House after attending the hearing of NAB references against him in an accountability court.
Top political and legal aides of the PML-N chief including federal ministers and lawmakers of the party attended the huddle wherein they discussed overall political situation of the country with special focus on the cases against Sharif family.

Addressing the consultative meeting, the former PM said that he was opposed to such a judiciary which reinvent ‘doctrine of necessity’.
The meeting was attended among other by Saad Rafique, Dr Asif Kirmani, Danyal Aziz, Talal Chaudhry, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Abdul Qadri Baloch, Amir Muqam, Pervez Rashid, Maryam Aurangzaib, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, Tariq Fatemi, Musaddaq Malik and others.Sources said that the meeting discussed today proceeding of the accountability court, Islamabad High Court decision on Nawaz’s petition and future course of action in light of the latest developments.
Nawaz’s counsel Khawaja Harris briefed the participants about the legal points and judicial proceedings.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, Nawaz said that said there was no National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) [deal] happening between him and anyone else. He said that they neither struck any deal earlier nor would do this time.
After the meeting, the former Prime Minister left for Lahore along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz from the capital. Nawaz Sharif will offer Juma prayer at Central Mosque of Jati Umrah.
