Nawaz Sharif seeks confrontation in judiciary, Parliament: Bilawal

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Thursday said former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants confrontation between judiciary and the parliament.

Addressing the party workers in Lahore, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is itself responsible for the condition it is in, adding the PPP along with other Opposition parties resisted the law that allows a disqualified person to head a political party in the country.

The Opposition had demanded the law should be annulled, he said, adding, “We also opposed the law that allows a disqualified person to chair a political party.”

Bilawal said the policies of Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif are meant to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.
