Islamabad (August 30, 2017): The National Security Committee (NSC) has decided to form sub-committee to review the security situation of the country.
The decision was taken in NSC meeting presided over by PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi held in Islamabad.
The sub-committee will come up with proposals, regarding country’s security situation. The sub committee will also give proposal for the upcoming diplomats huddle, which will take place from September 5 to 7 in Islamabad.

NSC Committee has also reviewed the development planning of the armed forces and decided to devise a more strong defence strategy to cope with the future challenges.
The issues of internal and external security were also came under discussion.
The meeting was attended by top military leadership including Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Air Chief Air Marshal Sohail Amaan and Naval Chief Admiral Zakaullah, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and intelligence chiefs.
This is second meeting of the top military and civilian leadership following Trump speech, as soon after the unveiling of new US policy the committee had already met and unanimously rejected the allegations leveled against Pakistan by the US President.
