OGRA Recommends Slash in POL Prices

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Friday recommended the government to slash prices of petroleum products for December 2019 under the monthly price revision.

The oil and gas industry regulator, in a summary sent to the Petroleum Division, proposed a reduction of Rs 0.25 per litre in the price of motor spirit (petrol) and Rs 2.40 per litre in the price of high-speed diesel effective from December 1.

Besides, OGRA recommended a reduction of Rs2.90 per litre in the price of light diesel oil (LDO) and it suggested a decrease of Rs 0.83 per litre in the price of kerosene oil.

The summary has been sent to the ministry of finance from ministry for petroleum and will come into effect after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
